- Buttermilk 3 cups
- Red chillies 3
- toor dal 1/2 tsp
- raw rice 1/2 tsp
- methiseeds 1/2 tsp
- grated coconut 1/2 cup
- Arbi or Potato 1/2 cup
- Oil 2 tsp
- Salt to taste
- mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
- curry leaves few
Method
Heat 1 tsp oil i n a pan and add dal,methiseeds, chillies, coconut and fry till it is light brown. Grind the fried items with little water. Cut the arbi or potatoes into cubes. Boil with salt till itis soft. Now mix the ground paste with buttermilk,salt. Add this to the boiled vegetable and stir and boil for 5 mts. Temper with mustard, curry leaves
